StateAssemblywomanMaggyKrell,aDemocrat,agreedtoremoveaclausefromAssemblyBill379thatstatesbuyersof16and17-year-oldsforsexwouldfacefelonycharges,leavingthesolicitationofthoseminorsbyadultstobetreatedasamisdemeanor.
“Inordertogetahearingonthebill,wewereforcedtoremovethepieceofthebillthatensuresthecrimeofpurchasingaminorforsexappliesinallcaseswherethevictimisundertheageof18,”KrelltoldFoxNewsDigital.
