RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Department of Health have reported additional pediatric-flu related deaths this respiratory season. Four children have now died due to complications of influenza.
Approximately 24% of the emergency department visits in the state have been for respiratory illnesses. Children four years old and younger are particularly affected, as they seem to be the most admitted in hospitals for COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus.
